Plot
Una palabra negra rasga un fondo blanco. Una luz proyecta la silueta de unos chicos contra la pared sucia. El rostro de un joven se ilumina en mitad de una sala de cine. Una imagen fantasmagórica nos devuelve a un momento que ya nunca volverá. Los mutantes propone un viaje a través de un tiempo impreciso - podrían ser varios años o quizá un solo día - en el que un grupo de jóvenes tratará de encontrar una nueva familia. ¿A qué otra cosa se debería aspirar en un lugar donde se construye el pensamiento?

He holds a degree in Directing from Madrid’s ECAM where he works as a supervisor for the Documentary major. A member of the Lacasinegra art collective, his work has screened in festivals such as San Sebastian, Entrevues, the Festival dei Popoli, Seville, and Ficunam. His filmography includes the medium-length film Los mutantes (2016) and the shorts Los galgos (2011), Tomorrow, the Bullet (2015) and El ruido del universo (2024). Last Night I Conquered the City of Thebes (2025), his first feature film, began development during his postgraduate studies at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola and has been part of the San Sebastian, MÁRGENES/WORK and D'A film development programs, as well as ECAM's Incubator. The film had its world premiere in the Giornate degli Autori competition at the Venice Film Festival.
