Plot
On the periphery, the city's waste accumulates to form illegal dumps, where a new kind of life has emerged. It hides from the lights of humans, but the city reclaims what is its own and advances. It changes everything in its path. In its flight, the shadows remain in time. The thresholds persist. Gentrification, the death of a city and the rebirth of another.

Sandra del Moral Abolafia (Jaén, 2001), Paolo Natale (Lorca, 1997) and Daniel Rodríguez (Ourense, 1996) are three filmmakers recently graduated from the ECAM, where they specialized in Documentary Film within the same promotion. The joint journey began with the piece Configuración de un Umbral, the result of months of collective creative process, exploring common concerns of the filmography of each of the three. The hybridization of cinematographic codes, sensory narratives that aim to fully engage the viewer, cinema without actors... the film is born from these intentions and more. It is born from the context of young people in a big city far from the local environment that characterizes their native homes. It is born from feeling small in an overcrowded and dehumanized place, from fantasizing about the birth of a new place and a new way of life, invisible and alien, eternally fleeing from the city as an ever-expanding monster.
