Plot
Antonio, a 35-year-old musician, has just gone through a breakup with his boyfriend and is taking care of a friend’s house and dog while the friend is away. As he adjusts to this new stage, he continues his job as a music teacher at the kindergarten of a German school, where he started only a few months ago. As his routine unfolds, his relationship with people and things begins to shift. Meanwhile, the water in the pool at the house he is watching over slowly starts to putrefy.

Buenos Aires, 1991. He lives and works in Madrid. He is a filmmaker, acting teacher, actor, and writer. He completed the Film Program at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, under the direction of Andrés Di Tella, and received most of his acting training with Nora Moseinco. He participated in writing workshops with Agostina Luz López, Iosi Havilio, and María Gainza. He directed the short films Paseo (Best Short Film, 17th BAFICI), Las flores (Best Short Film, 20th BAFICI), and Parado mirando (26th BAFICI, International Competition). These works were presented at international festivals such as Zinebi, Kinoforum, Tenerife Shorts, Las Palmas, Asterisco, Festifreak, among others. Together with Mariana Sanguinetti, he co-directed the short film La necesidad de un testigo, premiered at the 38th Mar del Plata International Film Festival, where it received a Special Jury Mention. His first hybrid feature film, El hincha (2023), premiered at the 24th BAFICI, within the Argentine Competition, and received two awards: Best Film from the Argentine Film Critics Association (ACCA) and from the Federation of Image and Sound Schools of Latin America (FEISAL). El profesor de música is his first fiction feature film. Between 2017 and 2020, he worked as an acting teacher at Nora Moseinco’s school, also leading workshops at MALBA and Festival Lumière. As an actor, he has participated in projects directed by María Alché, Vladimir Durán, Ana Katz, Laura Huberman, Francisco Lezama, and Agostina Gálvez, among others. In theater, he premiered his first play as director and playwright, Arturo atraviesa el bosque (El Camarín de las Musas). He also published the short story collection El amigo sin nombre (Socios Fundadores).
