María Herrera is a Spanish filmmaker and producer. Her work explores the feminine universe with a special focus on the relationship between the body, the camera and the female desire. She's interested in questioning narrative paradigms and cinematic language in search of a feminist cinema. María is a Goya Spanish Academy Award winner.

She’s currently financing her debut feature Since you've been gone (Desde que tú te has ido), produced and distributed by Golden Bear winners Avalon company. She was recently declared as a Spanish rising star by Screen Daily
