Plot
Portrait on 16 mm of Lara while we have breakfast on an ordinary morning in her room. Grounding the film with a WhatsApp voice message she sent me earlier, the film captures her everyday life and the emotions that go behind words, painting these sensations on celluloid with watercolors. Reflecting what it is to accompany her and me: the moment where we’re going through the same thing at the same time. Learning to look at ourselves and to look at the other. Alone and together, having breakfast on an ordinary morning.

Claudia de la Iglesia Díez
Claudia de la Iglesia Díez, born in Madrid in 2003, holds a degree in Documentary Filmmaking from ECAM. She directed Un sueño de una noche, which received the ‘Best Non-Fiction Award’ at the 25th International Film Schools Festival and the Xurado Novo Prize at Intersección – International Film Festival of A Coruña. She later completed the MÁSTER-LAV programme in Experimental Cinema, specializing in analog film. She has curated film cycles such as LIT – Romería Sangrienta for La Casa Encendida, SCREENING LAV #026 BECAUSE THE SKY IS BLUE at the Cine Estudio of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, and the retrospectives Kill the Spiders: John Smith for Documenta Madrid and Peter Watkins, Images in War for the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. She is currently part of the team of CINEZETA: JÓVENES PROGRAMADORES – 9th EDITION.
