MÁRGENES/WORK is a creative and professional program aimed to offer support and guidance to emerging filmmakers and producers from the Iberoamerican region working on independent films with a strong artistic vision.

The tenth edition of the lab will take place between November 26 and 30, 2024 at La Casa Encendida in Madrid.

The program targets emerging filmmakers and producers from Spain, Portugal and Latin America residing in Spain with projects at any stage (development, production, editing, post-production), regardless of genre or subject matter.

MÁRGENES/WORK offers a space for professionalization and creative backing to strengthen the creative and professional fabric of Spanish and Latin American cinema, with particular attention to those proposals that explore innovative aesthetic and narrative paths and non-traditional production models.

Participants will work with a team of outstanding international professionals, who will offer their advice from a wide range of perspectives, delving into creative, technical, production and distribution aspects, thus fostering the creative potential of the selected projects and, at the same time, finding the best ways to promote their realization, completion and access to the market.

With the aim of promoting the creation and completion of the projects, La Casa Encendida Award to Audiovisual Creation will be granted, endowed with 4,000 euros.

The registration period will remain open until June 8, 2024 (23:59 GMT+2).
